The End of Med-Ved-Net

For the past two and a half years, MMGC assisted with Project management of Med-Vet-Net, a European Network of Excellence working for the prevention and control of zoonoses and food borne diseases. This work has now come to an end. It was a pleasure working with a large number of excellent colleagues and it is a bit sad to say farwell to the project. But life - and work - continues. We wish the successor, MedVetNet-Associations, good luck with their initiatives.

We welcome as new member to our team

Heike Laubenheimer, Dipl.Biol. Heike studied Biology and did a Ph.D. in medical microbiology, until she decided to take a break and care for her family. Now she wishes to return to her profession. We are very happy that she joined our team.

Our company started in 1999 so the first decade now lies behind us. We can look back at 10 years of interesting and diverse work. We have very much enjoyed our various tasks and would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all our customers for their confidence. We're ready for the next ten years!

Our book is due: Bioinformatics for Microbiologists!

Re-design of www.bacteriamuseum.org

The planned revision of the Virtual Museum of Bacteria has now finally materialized. With the exception of the species files, which still need a bit of work, all other exhibits have been updated. It is worth to have a look!

The Virtual Museum of Bacteria

MMGC is liaised with the Centre for Biological Sequences (CBS), at the Danish Technical University, since 2005. We are happy to announce that this collaboration will continue throughout 2008. It has been very productive so far and we are expecting more exciting discoveries to be made in the field of bacterial genomics!

Clients continue to make use of our services such as assistance in science communication and production of scientific publications, consulting and problem solving, assistance in bioinformatic analyses, etc. We are grateful to all of you who have agreed to continue the collaboration in 2007 and we welcome our new clients. We'll do our best to make this year a top year in terms of scientific output!
